It is the case of German born Dr.Barbara Sturm, the ex wife of the iconic American actor Burt Reynolds, and the founder of the eponymous cellular cosmetics line (www.dr-barbara-sturm.de) ; a capsule collection, recently re-launched, also available at the famous online boutique Net-A-Porter. The uniqueness of the line? Products formulated with powerful natural compounds combined with molecular active substances, delivering fast results in few simple steps, without having to embark in convoluted rituals involving endless lotions. The best-sellers? The Hyaluronic Acid serum, and the Hyaluronic Acid ampoules, formulated with short chain molecules that effectively penetrate the epidermis, delivering moisture to the deep layers of the skin, for a fresh, radiant look. Unique to the capsule couture line is the MC1 cream, a personalized anti-aging cream prepared for those patients that visit Dr.Sturm’s Dusseldorf studio (but the German doctor regularly travels for consultations to London, Zurich and Los Angeles). After taking a blood sample from the patient, powerful proteins and growth factors for skin cell rejuvenation are extracted, and subsequently blended in the cream, creating an emulsion that regenerates using the body’s own healing powers.
